“Do you provide workbooks and handouts?”
In some cases the answer is yes, it does very much depend on the nature of the training. In all cases we believe that people retain more information when they create their own learning aids which we strongly encourage people to do, especially given the experiential nature of our learning. Some of our learners even take pictures of posters and flipcharts in the room which they download to their PCs and then set up as screen saver slide shows!
“Are participants expected to participate or sit and listen?”
The more people participate the more they will have fun, feel part of the team, and most important of all, they will learn more. Nobody will ever be ‘forced’ to do anything they don’t feel comfortable doing. If anyone feels that they do not want to take part in an exercise, they simply sit-it-out as an observer, and share their observations at the end of the activity.
“Can people socialise?”
Definitely. A wealth of knowledge and experience will be represented in the room. We encourage people to learn from each other, make new friends and contacts and generally expand their network.
“Will it be fun?”
Most certainly. After all, we learn best when we are having fun. Our fun will never be frivolous; it will always be relevant to the content and have a clear learning message.
